Barista Part Two: 2 Day Course

Gain the confidence you need to get hired at a café. This course is an addition to our Barista Part One, where over two extra days, you will learn how a café works and become familiar with point of sales systems to take orders.

NZSFW has a commercial training cafe on the ground floor of their building, where you build on your knowledge from Part One in a more realistic environment. In the café, you will learn about:
- Communicating with customers
- Common set up procedures for the day
- Cleaning and maintenance of an espresso machine

Further techniques and recipes are covered including:
- Soy Latte
- Chai Latte
- Iced Chocolate
- Iced Coffee
- Practice techniques from Part One

A certificate of attendance will be awarded on completion of this course. NZSFW is also a member of the NZSCA NZ Speciality Coffee Association. As this course builds onto the lessons and techniques in Barista Part One we recommend the two courses are taken fairly close together.
