Develop your technical skill base in watercolour painting with one-on-one advice from artist Kohl Tyler-Dunshea. During the start of the the course we will cover the basics of watercolour, then delve deeper into colour theory and experiment with various painting techniques.
Contemporary and traditional warm-up activities will be used throughout the course. Each of these warm up activities help to you develop a particular skill, such as; depth and perspective, atmosphere, masking and layering, planning a painting, and representational drawing.
Throughout the term we will study and discuss the work of contemporary artist models that are utilising watercolour in an interesting ways. Students will also learn how to stretch and flatten watercolour paper.
Seven sessions $200 ($180 for Te Uru members).
Includes some materials. Suitable for beginners through to intermediate watercolourists.
