As part of our commitment to accessibility, Te Manawa has worked with the Manawatū branch of Autism New Zealand to create a special autism-friendly evening for Brick Flicks. Neurotypical (NT) siblings are welcome to join.

Build something fantastic at our LEGO or Duplo build stations, assemble a fort or throne with our Big Bricks, examine the many models on display or direct your own box-office hit at the stop-motion movie making station - there is something for everyone!

The soundscape will be turned off, but we recommend BYO noise-cancelling headphones as the air conditioning will be running.

A quiet break-out space is available, which will be stocked with a range of quiet distractions to wind down with.

Te Manawa is open every Thursday until 7:30pm and is typically our quietest time, so it's perfect for exploring the rest of the Museum too.
