Whichever medium or sketch pad size you like come along and hone your life drawing skills at our friendly drawing group, where we draw unclothed models. There is no need to book in advance, or for long term commitment; just turn up when it suits. We meet weekly from mid-February to early December and there is no break for school holidays.

The group is untutored, and you will need to bring your own art materials. We use tables as there is no room for easels but you can bring your own table easel if you wish.

Charges include tea or coffee at the break halfway through (sorry, Tim-Tam biscuits no longer provided!) where you can catch up with the other members of the group, or admire the range of sketching styles and, perhaps, get or share some drawing tips.

This group was formerly the long running Turnbull House Life Art Drawing group which had to move after an earthquake. We are not a church group but, like other community groups, rent a meeting room at the St Andrews event centre. The entrance to this is on the right of St Andrews church, and we are on the second floor—there is a lift. It is very close to the No 23 Mairangi bus stop and a short walk to Lambton Quay.
