Ngā Manu Winter lectures 2018:
25 July: Coming to Terms with Introduced Wildlife.
Dr Jamie Steer.

This is the last of our Winter Lecture Series and it promises to spark an interesting debate on this controversial topic. Please note that Ngā Manu is playing host to Jamie and the views expressed in this Lecture may not align with ours.

This lecture will discuss why accepting introduced wildlife makes more sense than you think. Dr Jamie Steer will explain why he believes we need to start coming to terms with introduced wildlife in New Zealand and the permanent changes they bring. His talk will challenge the longstanding tendency to ‘catastrophize’ the impacts of introductions and emphasize some of the important but unheralded positives of 'reconciliation'.

Entry by koha - limited entry - book your seat now by calling - 04 2934131.

When: Arrive at 3:30pm for tea & biscuits. Lecture starts at 4pm with question time afterwards. Finish at 5pm.
