Conservation Week Activity: Species Scavenger Hunt & BBQ

  • Admission: Free

You are invited to join DOC in Aoraki Mount Cook National Park for an afternoon of activities to learn all about what wildlife lives in Aotearoa New Zealand’s biggest backyard!

- 12:30pm – Discussion about the biodiversity crisis that New Zealand is facing – meet at the public shelter, 59 Bowen Drive, Aoraki Mount Cook Village, there is plenty of parking

- 1:00pm – Split into groups for the great Species Scavenger Hunt which will take place in a few different locations, including: Hooker Valley, Red Tarns and Governor’s Bush

- 3:00pm – Meet back at the public shelter to find out who the winner of the scavenger hunt is and celebrate with a free BBQ.

Please ensure that you bring weather appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear.
