Crips and Chronics - the lighter side of chronic illness and disability.

Fusing spines, blood that won’t clot, funky limbs, fatigue and brain fog, skin falling off. But it’s not all bad!! With a line-up of badass “crippled” and chronically ill comedians, Crips and Chronics will help you see the lighter side of being handicapable and having bodies that don’t always comply. You’ll feel uplifted and empowered! You’ll learn new fun facts about blood conditions! Just don’t give anyone unsolicited medical advice!

Hosted by the very 'sick' Oliver Probert and Featuring the disabled and chronic illnesses of: Grace Leung, Julz Burgisser, Bronte Wilson, and Dan Alexander. Potential visit by special guest ex-rapper Tourettes aka Dominic Hoey with his own medical issues who is incredibly 'sick' and it would be a huge honor if he can make it.

All proceeds go to La Garrucha Zapatista Health Project in Chiapas, Mexico. There will be opportunities to donate or if you buy one of the raffle included tickets then you'll go in the draw to win one of the great prizes on offer. See the Facebook event for more details regarding the prizes. We even have drinks deals available with your tickets so you can save on your liquid refreshment beforehand.

Wellington-based Latin American Solidarity Committee have been supporting this project for over a decade, contributing to off-road ambulances, life-saving vaccines for children, education programs in indigenous health. Committee member Grace Leung will be visiting and delivering donations in person and learning more about the achievements and challenges faced by this group in August. More information at
