Performing their own hit music from the award winning Disney blockbuster Moana, multi-award winning and Grammy-nominated music and dance ensemble Te Vaka joins the CSO for a magical night of music inspired by the songs and stories of the Pasifika region.
In addition, the award-winning ensemble will bring to the Isaac Theatre Royal stage a variety of uplifting and energetic musical offerings that will have you bouncing in your seats.
Having performed in 40 different countries and released eight internationally-acclaimed albums, including under the Walt Disney label, Pacifika ensemble Te Vaka produces and performs original contemporary music and dance from the South Pacific region.
The ensemble has won multiple awards, including Best Pacific Album and Best Pacific Song in the New Zealand Music Awards on numerous occasions. Their music for Moana reached No. 1 on the Billboard Soundtrack Album charts and remained there for many months.
