Dominic Blaazer announces NZ Music Week showcase.

Dominic Blaazer and the Maximum Philharmonic orchestra with very special guest, Jan Hellriegel.

It's official, critics are falling in love with Dominic Blaazer’s “The Lights of Te Atatu.” It's an album you need to hear and a gig you need to see. Fresh from a successful launch at Roundhead Studios, Blaazer brings his orchestral band to the historic Pumphouse with a supporting set from the marvellous Jan Hellriegel.

Blaazer has been a member of Greg Fleming and The Trains, The Chills, The Peter Styuvesant Hitlist, Smoothy, and Don McGlashan and SJD's bands - among many others.

Nick Bollinger says, "There are only a few clues that it’s not some celebrated singer-songwriter from the 70s. The songs... they sound like classics. It’s fearless and perfect.” - The Sampler (Radio NZ National), March 5th 2018

And from Graham Reid, “He makes those lights of Te Atatu seem magical and resonant, even though they are seen through heartbreak. These are fine songs and in another lifetime, when artists would look for material rather than write their own, any number here would be picked up.” - Elsewhere.co.nz

But enough press, the last words are from a ticket-buying punter:
"Outstanding concert, Dom. The National were superb and yours was every bit as good."

"Tight, melodic and poetic tunes with a great little orchestra working in sync."
