Hawke’s Bay's finest butchers present their sausage!

We'll smoke them...braise them...place them between our buns...stick them in dirty rice. There’ll be black pudding, gravy and mash. You may even get cured! Don't mince around… everybody loves a good sausage. Those who have a starring role are…

First is Rob Beard from Wild Game salamis and Beard Brothers sausages based in Te Awanga. Robs award winning wood smoked wild game salamis are made locally hunted game and feature on the menus of the top restaurants in NZ. His newer brand “ Beard Brothers“ sausages cover old school to more left field sausage recipes such as pork and pawa and are sold in local new world and Pak n Save supermarkets.

Second is Paul Greaney from “The Village Butcher” in Havelock North'. Paul has won the coveted ‘New Zealands Supreme Sausage‘ award at the annual national sausage convention. The Village Butcher Shop has served the area for 90 years and likewise Paul is an old school butcher making sausage using the best local product and using artisan technique .

Third is Mike Wilkinson from ‘The Deli’ who is based in Onekawa and sells his product at the Hawke's Bay Farmers Market weekly. Mike focuses on creating authentic small goods and exceptional cured meats using methods from the yesteryear.

Finally Jimmy Macken pit master at Bareknuckle BBQ. Jimmy has made and sold sausage for many years from his his deli in Auckland before moving to Hawke's Bay. A don of sausage will make you an offer you cant refuse and over 10 courses will take you on a sausage voyage around the world.

Ticket includes 10 small courses of sensational sausage, meat the sausage men and cash bar.
