Stuart Maunder AM, General Director NZ OPERA will be our guest. Stuart is directing “Candide” which will play at Auckland Town Hall from 23 – 25 March.

James sang-oh Yoo, APO cellist will play a programme of music. Born in South Korea, James sang­-oh Yoo began studying Cello at the age of eight. His former teachers include Thomas Tsai and Susan Blake at Sydney Conservatorium of Music in Australia. In 2008 he moved to Germany and continued his cello studies with Maria Kliegel at the Cologne University of Music and Dance.

During his studies, he also had lessons and masterclasses with Pinchas Zukerman, Truls Mørk, Gautier Capuçon, Laszlo Mezo, Li­Wei Qin and Pieter Wispelwey.

James has performed Cello Solo works and Sonatas on Fine Music 102.5fm and Australian Broadcasting Corporation radio broadcast and also performed a number of Major Cello Concertos with a various orchestras and ensembles including SBS Television and Radio Youth orchestra, Kuring­-Gai Philharmonie Orchestra and North Sydney Youth Symphony.
