“Once upon a time I was told I was divine, once upon a time I believed it”

In a celebration of te whare tangata (the womb which houses humanity), Hine is a work in-development which weaves together pathways to reclaiming the sacredness of womanhood and calls forth all those who desire to restore herstory and activate te mana o te wahine.

With movement, sound, film and storytelling we open and share a ceremonial space to celebrate te wharetanga ta.

This production of Hine will be a selection of scenes woven together to share the layered narratives of women as they navigate through the 3 major phases of life, Kohine/the maiden – Wahine/the women/mother– Ruahine – the wise women/grandmother.
