An exhibition featuring colour enhanced B&W photographs by Brendan Graham, is one of four exhibitions now showing at Petone’s Artspace Gallery.

Brendan is a local artist who is passionate about art, photography and history and with this approach he gives popular local historic black and white photographs a fresh new life.

In each photo he has enhanced, he strives to understand light and colour harmony in the scene and tries to achieve an accurate recreation of local history. He also tries to re-imagine history and tell new local stories through each image that he has breathed a new life into. All photographs are for sale

Other exhibitions also showing in December include:
‘Sea Sun & Silver’ featuring over unique silver and copper jewellery artworks crafted by 18 local jewelers. Each of over 100 beautifully created artworks is inspired by Petone and one even includes a tiny thumbnail painting of Petone Beach whilst another features a copper sunset on a silver Petone beach.

There is also an extensive range of locally paintings, photography, and prints, many featuring local scenes, woodwork, ceramics and wide selection of locally made gifts. A great gift buying destination with easy parking right outside.
