How to Direct Kids' Interest From Games to Robotic Building

Skywalker, the 2017 New Zealand First Lego League Champion team, also the 2018 NZ representatives to First World Champion, will be showcasing a popular range of robots and common competition resources. Your children will have the opportunity to get the hands-on experience in a small group.

This workshop is co-organized by Peony Club and Skywalker team. The purpose is to showcase how fun and challenge the FLL competition will be. Also, it is a fundraising event to support the team's science teacher to be able to go with the team to Houston, USA, in April 2018.

All the money from the tickets sold for this workshop will be donated to Skywalker team. Your support is much appreciated.

During the workshop, all the Skywalker team members will do a short presentation to share their passions and love to the robotic programming, science projects researching, and real life problem-solving. . We guarantee you will be amazed after listening to these kids presentations.

Workshop key procedures:

- Brief introduction of the activities by the director of the Peony Club; and introduce Skywalker team members.
- Skywalker members presentations.
- Ted, Maker Studio Leader, introduces First Lego League competition and relative information.
- Team the kids in small groups to get some hands-on experience.
- Parents social while the kids having the hands-on experience.
- Tea and refreshments supplied.
