Friday nights are quite alright! Especially down at Silo Park, your downtown oasis. Food trucks galore, the world famous Silo Bar, fab weather & a great movie, there really isn't a better way to start your weekend. Bring your pals and make some memories.

As with every year at Silo Cinema, we like to show the most cutting edge and informative documentaries, either contemporary or classic, and often ones that make us and our audience question society, and the socials parameters we live within.

This week we're bringing to the screen I Am Not Your Negro, one of the best loved and most acclaimed films from 2017’s NZIFF. This feature length documentary, narrated by Samuel L. Jackson, is inspired by James Baldwin's unfinished manuscript and recounts the lives of his close friends and civil rights leaders Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., & Medgar Evers.

A modern masterpiece in documentary cinema. *Rating: PG-13
