As part of EcoSolutions' Compost Connection programme I will be running a free composting workshop on 7th of March at EcoSolutions new premises at 141a Cameron Street, Whangarei (next door to the tool shed).

The workshop is aimed at people who are new to composting and will provide an introduction to a variety of ways of composting at home. So whether you are brand new to composting and wanting to get up and running or are just a recent compost enthusiast, this will suit you!

The workshop will cover several methods of composting, including worm farming, bokashi and basic compost heaps. We will also cover how to set up each of these, covering both free/cheap ways to set these up using waste products and also cover the use of shop bought products (which will be available to you at massively reduced prices following the work shop - Worm farms and bokashi bins will be available for $25 compared with their shelf price of approximately $100).

Through this programme we aim to get you in to one of these ways of dealing with food waste to reduce waste going to landfill, save you money and provide awesome fertilsers/soil improvers for the garden!
