Come along and join NZ Parliament as we celebrate Matariki with a day full of fun, engaging activities for the whole whānau.

Art workshops:
A number of facilitated workshops running throughout the day will give kids the chance to express themselves and get creative. Please note that bookings are required. For details, please see the Parliament website.

Story time:
Join Parliament’s Tumu Whakarae, Kura Moeahu as he shares the story of Matariki, along with a special Matariki themed karakia and waiata. There will be three sessions during the day and bookings are required. For details, please see the Parliament website.

Wish upon a star:
Take a moment to share your reflections from the year past and leave a message of hope for the year to come on our ‘sky of stars’. No bookings required.

Art zone:
A range of self-directed art activities will be available throughout the day – there’s no need to book for this, just come along and get involved!
