This is a story about my best friends. Ok, no, this is actually mostly a story about me.

December, 1998. Dunedin. High summer in a town where there isn’t a lot to do. A true story about heart-breaking grief and enduring friendship featuring a soundtrack from The Verlaines to the Backstreet Boys, and the words of Tuwhare, Baxter, and Bishop. It’s a joyful comedy from a heavy heart.

Written and performed by Anya Tate-Manning, co-created and directed by Isobel MacKinnon, set and AV design by Meg Rolland, lighting by Tony Black, production support and publicity by Claire O’Loughlin and dramaturgy by Jo Randerson.

Nominated: West Australian Arts Editor’s Award, Perth Fringe World 2016

"The unadorned tale of being young, restless and ready to change the world." - The Pantograph Punch

“Authentic and brilliant.” - The Australia Times

“Hilarious and refreshing.” - Perth Arts Live
