Dan Brader, who’s now making ripples in New Zealand’s fastly growing stand-up comedy scene, is taking his new show "My No Good Stinkin' Loser Comedy Show" all over NZ this year after a successful nationwide tour in 2014 with "Horrible, Horrible Human Being".

You've probably gathered from the show's cheeky title that Brader is not a mainstream comic. So if you won't have seen him on the Telly although he does appear frequently on Student Radio and Community Radio. But more importantly, he's a highly experienced stand up comedian having been in the game for over a decade now, starting his career in Perth, Australia in 2007. He’s performed in festivals and comedy clubs, bars, parties, sports clubs, student flats- basically anywhere that wants comedy he’s performed at! He even did a gig in the back of a Fish And Chip shop once! It was rad. He got free chips afterwards.

His comedy journey has seen him perform as an MC, headliner and support act throughout New Zealand and Australia. As well as an opening act for great Aussie talents like Dave Hughes, Greg Fleet and more in the bigger, more competitive Australian comedy scene.

He recently performed his latest solo show, “My No Good Stinkin’ Loser Comedy Show”, at the Dunedin Fringe Festival in March to a great response. It lead to “The Comedy Hub” from Palmy North hiring him to perform a bunch of shows (including his solo show) and even host a comedy writing workshop and now he's on a tour of NZ with the show.

Aside from stand-up, Brader has also written movie reviews for the Otago Daily Times (2001-2004), written advertising copy for several radio stations in Australia and New Zealand, and has his own semi-autobiographical comic book series-“The Adventures Of The Kite Family”. He also hosts “My No Good Stinkin’ Loser Podcast” and appears on “The Snobcast”, a film review podcast, co-hosted by Dunedin comedian and ex Radio One film critic Simon Kingsley Holmes.

His newest hour of comedy is a mix of his acidic, sharp observational material about the world around him and some freewheeling storytelling about this difficult relationship with his grouchy recently retired businessman Father as well as his touching relationship with his recently deceased Grandmother. We also find out a surprising revelation about his connection to the late great Kiwi stand-up comic Ewan Gilmour.

Here’s what the critics have to say:

“Brader is a comic you will love or hate, but he’s never dull.” – New Zealand Theatre Review.

“In a comedy world that can be a bit ‘same-y’, Dan Brader dares to be different” – ARTSHUB
