Newtown Facilities Community Design Workshop 1

Help shape the future of Newtown's community facilities.

The Newtown Residents Association, the Newtown Community Centre and the Wellington City Council are working together to ensure the people of Newtown are at the centre of shaping the future of Newtown’s community facilities. We want to hear your ideas about how we can improve the Newtown Community & Cultural Centre, Network Newtown and Newtown Hall on Daniell Street.

Three events will be held with the community throughout the next four months. These events will allow the appointed WSP Opus Architects and Newtown community to work together to develop concept designs.

This first event aims to come up with a brief to be used as a starting point for designs. Drop in to Newtown Community and Cultural Centre anytime from 12 noon to share your ideas for the three buildings. Lunch will be available from 12-12:30pm accompanied by live music.

This is a family friendly event. There will also be entertainment for the kids. All are welcome.
