Stoddart Cottage in Diamond Harbour will be the venue for a new exhibition of photographs by members of Diamond Harbour Camera Club, from Friday 6 April to Sunday 29 April.

The exhibition has been kindly sponsored by Min Sarginson Real Estate and Property Management. Min is herself a keen photographer and has been a loyal supporter of the club over many years.

The exhibition will feature a wide range of mounted photographs for sale. Images will cover a wide range such as local harbour vistas, native flora and fauna, and more exotic locations beyond New Zealand waters. Various technical examples, which include astrophotography, will be on show.

However, members use a mixture of equipment from phones to digital SLRs, so visitors need not be overwhelmed by technology! It is hoped that visitors will be inspired by the diversity of interests and perhaps be tempted to get out their own camera, or phone, or join one of the practical learning sessions later in the year.

Stoddart Cottage is in the village of Diamond Harbour, five minutes walk from the ferry wharf. The historic cottage is managed by a Trust, and is open from 10 until 4 Friday to Sunday. The local craft cooperative has a permanent area within the cottage, selling art and crafts made by its members.

Entry is free, and payment for photographs and crafts can be made by EFTPOS. Diamond Harbour Camera Club membership details will be available at Stoddart Cottage and Camera Club members will be there to help answer questions – we will be pleased to see you.
