Make your own poi and then learn how to swing it. The poi was traditionally used to increase flexibility and strength in the hands and arms and to improve coordination. It was swung to the rhythmic sounds of nature. The movements were also symbolic of nature.

Bring your poi to the Hutt Winter Festival night time events and swing along to the music.

Suitable for all ages, families welcome.

There will be two workshops 90 minutes long each
