Get involved in restoring the Port Hills with one of four public planting days.

We will be planting on three sites:
1) Marleys Hill (23 June)
2) Bowenvale/Huntsbury (9 June)
3) Dry Bush (16 June)

The Marleys Hill site is one that was devastated in last years Port Hills fires. Note this site has some steep terrain so a good level of fitness is required.

Numbers of volunteers at each planting day will be limited to 40. You must register here for a place, and you will be emailed more details closer to the event.

If you miss out on a place, and want to go on a waiting list please email

If you have a place, but are unable to attend, please email so we can offer your spot to someone on the waiting list.

There is limited parking at each restoration site, so we will be car-pooling or transporting volunteers from our meeting point at Victoria Park.

Meet at Victoria Park, at the small car park behind the Visitor Centre.

You will need to bring:
- Clothes for all weather, sun hat or woolly hat
- Sturdy boots
- Gardening gloves and a named, sharp spade if you have one (some will be provided)
