Pride Poetry Night will celebrate the work of emerging and established queer poets, and their inspiring contribution to our creative landscape here in Dunedin, a UNESCO City of Literature.

We are delighted to announce that our three guest poets for the night will be Robyn Maree Pickens, Emer Lyons, and this year’s Robert Burns Fellow, Rhian Gallagher!

Pride Poetry Night will also host the prize giving ceremony for the inaugural Pride Poetry Competition. First place winners will be invited to read their poems, showcasing the voices of Dunedin’s LGBTTQ+ writers.

Submissions close on March 16th 2018. Please see our Dunedin Pride Facebook Page for instructions on how to enter, or follow the link: https://goo.gl/forms/jM334hP7fTzExupI2

Finally, the audience is warmly invited to participate in an Open Mic session. There will be spot prizes, complimentary drinks and nibbles.

Pride Poetry Night is being held in the Dunningham Suite, 4th floor, Dunedin City Library. Doors open at 5:15pm for a 5:30pm start.
