In true American style we'll feed and entertain you with some true blue Americana soul, blues, jazz, country and rock. The menu includes Creole shrimp & chicken Gumbo, Cajun Jambalaya, Fried Okra, Hush Puppies and more....

First up on the night is the Wairarapa's (and St Marks) very own Rockin' Vicar, Andy Eldred, lead guitar and vocals, and his amazing band "Good As Gold" who regularly rock the Wairarapa music scene with their mixture of blues, funk, rock reggae and boogie-woogie. Vic Singe on drums, a New Zealand musical legend with bands behind him such as The Waratahs, Rag Poets and countless others, Dave Mills keyboard maestro and boogie-woogie man they'll be rocking and swinging you into the night.

Next up we have the incredible Laura Collins and her Back Porch Blues Band bringing their warm brand of the blues back to Wairarapa…

Laura, who is up front from the very start, with high energy, cheek and vocal strength leads and celebrates her band – and gives them licence to shine. And shine they do, with Wayne Mason, master of boogie ‘burning it up’ on the keys and adding his iconic voice to the vocal mix and John O’Connor, ‘eating it up’ on lead guitar, never self-indulgent – just soulful and astonishing. The rhythm section brings a warm acoustic volume with George Barris on tasty upright bass and Peter Cogswell on the ‘back porch’ drums proving that you don’t need to be loud to groove.

Expect to hear a little Fats Domino, Beth Hart, Bonnie Raitt, Nina Simone, John Lee Hooker, some of Laura’s own and others she can put her stamp on, all with their roots in the blues.
