The Secrets discussed why some IT Engineers on a Work Visa find it tough to find work in NZ.

- You may have spent at least 2 to 3 months trying out the traditional methods to find work in New Zealand
- You think it's your CV and are working day in and night to make it stand out
- Each day you receive rejection emails for jobs you have applied for
- You attended English class so you can speak in English and yet nothing is happening
- For work now you do odd jobs to cover your bills
- Do you feel like crying at the way you feel treated even though in your home country you were a successfull IT engineer?

If you have said yes to the above then you will find value in this meetup. This meetup is organised for IT Engineers where English is your 2nd Language and you are on a work visa of some sort looking to find work in New Zealand. You must have atleast 5+ years of commercial IT experience. Please note if you are a graduate this meetup would not help you much as everything being discussed are for people who have some work experience in IT.

Now Here’s a question??
Would you compete in the Olympics without training for the Game?

Not likely. So why would you walk into a job interview without the proper preparation? Research studies show that training, practice, and feedback are the winning combination when it comes to getting the job.

During this meetup we would be covering the following:
- The Top 3 Challenges You'll Face in an Interview
- The 4-step Framework for Crafting Perfect Answers
- Different kinds of interviews and preparing for them
- Dealing with inappropriate or illegal questions
- Analyzing the Job Description
- Identifying your selling points
- Body Language Dos and don’ts
- At the start of the interview what needs to happen
- Ending the Interview what needs to happen
- Who can help you train quickly

We look forward to seeing you and helping you in your journey to be better prepared to find the right job so you could settle and live in New Zealand.

Please note:
There is a $2 door fee to cover the costs for hiring the room and for tea. We have kept this meetup small as we want to personalise and give value. It's first in first serve basis. Please bring your CV with you at the event.
