This November, Southern Cross Garden Bar Restaurant, PlayShop, Garage Project and Shakespeare Globe Centre NZ join forces once again to bring you a fundraiser with a difference.

Come on down & enjoy a bit of The Bard in The Garden Bar!

This year, PlayShop are bringing you Shakespeare like you've never seen it, even if you came last year. From the best improvisors at this event, either for tragedy, comedy, history, pastoral, pastrol-comical, historical-pastoral, tragical-historical, tragical-comical-historical-pastoral, scene individable, or poem unlimited, an entirely new tempestuous Shakespeare play created before your very eyes. We are such improvisors as new plays are made (up) on (the spot), and our little plays are rounded with a jig.

These talented thespians will interact with all, to ensure a lively and memorable evening away from the pre-Christmas melee.

Charity Beer:
In honour of the event, Garage Project will be treating us to a special charity batch of Full Fathom Five: an original English IPA with a brave new world twist. This beer was first brewed for last year's ShakesBeer in the Garden fundraiser, and we're looking forward to it's return! Full proceeds from the first keg will be going directly to SGCNZ, which will be pouring from Nitro taps in our Garden Bar.

To complete the festivities, there will be also be a traditional roast dinner available from The Cross' kitchen, alongside our full menu & other festive beverages.

Tickets will be limited, and are available online or at the door (limited availability). All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated directly to SGCNZ - read more about this awesome not-for-profit organisation below!

*As we're a licensed venue, those under 18 must be accompanied by at least one of their parents to attend the show.

Booking fees apply.
