Swing by for a whole morning of glorious spring activities!
- Pot up native seedlings
- Weave putiputi and ika with Whau Weavers
- Make rat traps with Blockhouse Bay Intermediate students
- Make produce bags with upcycling expert Funk up my junk
- Be part of the launch of the Whau Low Carbon Network and Low Carbon Plan! If you live in the Whau, get a free native plant when you sign up to the Low Carbon Network

10AM - 12pm - Mini Pedal & Pizza:
A ride to The Waterview Coffee Project for a cuppa and back again for pizza! You'll be riding on a mix of roads and shared paths. Suitable for confident riders aged 10 and up who can take responsibility for their own safety and ride 10km. Bookings required.

10.30-10.45am - Basic Bike Safety for Kids:
Easy safety tips looking at helmet fitting, and the ABC's of checking your bike. Suitable for ages 8-12.

10.30-11am - What’s Going On In Our Hood? Meet Four Champion Community Collaborators:
Panel discussion featuring:
- Mesepa Edwards from Wai O Te Ora
- Nick Looseley from Everybody Eats
- Griffa Rivers and Casey Armitt from Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Hoani Waititi Marae
- EcoMatters' very own Damon Birchfield

11.15-11.30am - Basic Bike Maintenance for Adults
Basic brake adjustment, chain lube, and maintaining tyres.

11.45am-1pm - Composting Workshop:
Check out the composting systems on site at EcoMatters, and find out how you can compost at home too! Get a $40 discount to use on a composting system. Bookings required.
