Toitū Otago Settlers Museum in association with the Ministry for Women celebrate Otago as an area where more women signed the suffrage petition than anywhere else in New Zealand. This is the last of the 125 events and will mark the day on which women in New Zealand first voted in the 1893 general election.

Join us for KATE Talks which highlights five inspiring women who will deliver short talks on a variety of topics in honour of Kate Sheppard.

KATE Talks will be followed by a VIP keynote speaker and reception.

The evenings events link to Toitū’s feature exhibition Suffrage & Beyond: 1893-2018, opened by Dame Sylvia Cartwright on 8 September 2018.

Registrations are required as spaces are limited. Please call 03 477-4000 to register.
