A farce with no doors in a house with 3 floors, played in the round. Take a rambling old house in the middle of nowhere, formerly a Victorian brothel and possibly haunted, which leaks like a sieve. A builder, Leslie, is very keen to get a sale to keep his business afloat.

He thinks he has a keen buyer Roland, a Scotch-loving bucket magnate, who doesn't care about ghosts but does care about the state of the floors, roof and plumbing. Add an unhappy wife and frustrated dancer Elizabeth, her romantically frustrated brother Mark, a cripplingly shy solicitor Tristram, and Kitty who has been picked up by police for soliciting and spends much of her time in a wardrobe, and you have all the ingredients for a great laugh crafted by the master of British comedy.
