Popular for her amazing and creative representations of women, Artspace Gallery is proud to host another exhibition for Eastbourne artist, Sarah Albisser.

Sarah is incredibly creative and loves to explore different and inspiring ways to capture expressions, feelings and moods in her abstract portrayals of female characters. One can’t help but be wowed by her creativeness.

Sarah was born in Switzerland and has a background in contemporary dance, which she said is sometimes the inspiration behind some of her strong female characters in her exhibitions, particularly her ‘Madam’ series.

Sarah's artworks are created in mixed media and she uses very interesting combinations of mediums ranging from ink pen to acrylic, amazing hand stitched and machine stitched thread through to black cord into threaded board.

The exhibition also includes a selection of fine art prints and large drawings which she has named Wirehead's which have evolved from a long history of sketching. Albisser's artworks have been sought by art collectors throughout New Zealand and also internationally.

Sarah exhibits at Artspace Gallery throughout the year and her artworks have developed a strong and popular following. For this solo exhibition she will be presenting an exciting body of new artwork and will be co exhibiting together with Paul Gadsby, featuring oil paintings from his political bird series.
