Artist John Walsh and Curator Helen Kedgley spend time discussing the exhibition and sharing ideas and insights into John's work.

Artist John Walsh is best known for his sublime, ethereal landscapes with dense narratives. "A Portrait of Ūawa Tolaga Bay He Whakaahua o Ūawa" is a major survey of Walsh's portrait paintings. The exhibition includes the 20-metre long A Portrait of Tolaga Bay in 1980, shown in public for the first time since the 1980s.

Helen Kedgley is the former Director of Pataka Museum of Arts and Culture, an artist in her own right, and a curator, among many other hats that she wears. Helen is the curator of "John Walsh: A Portrait of `Ūawa Tolaga Bay", an exhibition that has brought the 20-metre- long mural out of storage after 38 years.
