Join us for the Japanese Film Evenings for 2018!

Japanese films shown at the University of Waikato are usually screened on the second or third Thursday of the month from 7pm and are preceded by a documentary about Japanese culture from 6:45pm.

Winner of Best Actor at Japan Academy Prize in 2013!

Lucius, an architect of spa baths for the Roman Empire, inadvertently travel through time and finds himself in a modern Japanese bathhouse. He takes elements of Japanese culture that he learns there back with him to Rome and is hugely successful, which leads the Emperor to command him to build a massive spa.
