It's Tweed time!

Our May ride is celebrating all things Tweed and heritage style.

Turn out in your best tweed style, whether it's your treasured family heirloom tweed or picked up at the local second-hand or antique shop. Go as tweedy as you like. Fear not if you don't have any tweed to wear or tweed is not your thing, as our dress themes are always optional.

This ride is a 14km round trip along cycleways and also a stretch of public road. We will pedal through parts of Addington, Middleton, Upper Riccarton, Riccarton and Hagley park before we end up at Antigua Boat Sheds and Café for some well deserved refreshments.

All are welcome (children need to be cyclewise and under supervision of a responsible adult).

Start: 1pm from inside the Armagh Street Gates, North Hagley Park.

Please see http://metroinfo.co.nz/journeyplanner/index.html?region=christchurch#/journey_plans/new if you plan to take your bike to to/from town by bus.

Dress theme (optional): Tweed.

If the weather is decidedly nasty on the day this event will be cancelled. See Facebook event page for updates on the day.

Hope to see you with your friends and family for a few enjoyable hours of fun cycling.
