Selwyn Community Education is based at Selwyn College, Kohimarama, Auckland.

Sunday 17 June 2018 10AM - 2PM with art educator Charlotte Maguire.

Did you know that the average time someone spends looking at a painting is 4-5 seconds? Charlotte believes that slowing down and looking at a handful of key works, while interacting with others through dialogue and activities, can help us to access the work further, challenging our perceptions, build our creative thinking and offer a far richer experience.

Join Charlotte as she opens the door to the latest in contemporary art in Auckland and beyond. Learn tools to talk about artworks by breaking them down into object, subject and context, building creative and analytical dialogue around these understandings and see how our ideas change over time.

This course is held onsite at Selwyn College.

Bring your lunch. Tea and coffee are provided.

Our mission is to provide quality affordable and accessible lifelong learning opportunities for our community.
