Spring is in the air! And so is the sweet scent of Barberry and Gorse flowers! We've got some more field missions to try and nip these pesky plants in the bud (pun intended!). This is a great chance to explore one of Coastal Otago's hidden gems, while meeting new people!

You will be part of a crew that will cut and paste Barberry and Gorse and clearing stumps that need to be controlled using other methods. This will help the native plants fight back.

These wonderfully wild sites are on steep, uneven hills so these trips are best suited to those that have a good level of fitness and mobility.

Where: Meet at the Pukehiki car park on Camp Rd, around the corner from the Pukehiki church (please note this is further up the road from Camp Estate)

What to bring:
- Gloves and tools will be provided but you will need to bring :
- Sturdy footwear ( tramping boots/sneakers)
- Food and water
- Clothing for wet and hot weather

Email chosted@doc.govt.nz to register or ask any questions about the field trips.

This event is part of Conservation Week 2018 - www.doc.govt.nz/conservationweek.
