This is a small group day trip from the Kapiti Coast to the Wellington waterfront. We also pick up guests from the Wellington Railway Station on request.

Enjoy a guided tour of the history, arts, and recent developments on Wellington's much loved waterfront.

Here's what to expect:
We'll soak up the beauty of Oriental Bay over morning tea, before popping in to inspect the brand new Te Papa National Art Gallery (opening only days before our visit).

This will be followed by a leisurely stroll around the waterfront to Queens Wharf, with your guide discussing points of note along the way such as clues to the waterfront's lively history and features of its more contemporary life. You will be amazed at the treasures found in nooks and crannies around the waterfront.

We'll replenish ourselves with lunch at a cafe before attending several impressive Wellington Museum exhibits.

Our last stop is the National Portrait Gallery, where we'll have the opportunity to view entries to the 2018 Adam Portraiture Award and cast our vote for the People's Choice...

The tour price is $85.00 per person, including morning tea. Lunch is an additional expense.

Pick up points: 9:15am Waikanae Railway Station and 9:35am Paraparaumu Railway Station.

Drop off: At the same locations between 4:00pm and 4:30pm.

Accessibility: The trip is taken in a comfortable 12-seater mini-bus which is not wheel-chair accessible. Walking frames can be taken on this tour and assistance is offered for mounting and dismounting the vehicle. The tour involves a leisurely half hour walk with rest stops along the way.
