It’s the ‘World Famous in the Manawatū’ Wild Food Feast" time again!

The Friends of Awahou School are for the 8th year running hosting the much-loved Pohangina Valley Wild Food Feast on Saturday 18th August 2018, ‘deep’ in the bush at Camp Rangi Woods (Totara Reserve Regional Park, Pohangina Valley).

Special guest: & MC for 2018: Te Radar (re-mixed) and his hit new show "Antarcticana" straight from the Comedy Festival back in May. It’s a hilarious look at the heroism and humour that has shaped the icy continent’s history, the odd flora and fauna and the even odder folk who explored the land that Captain Robert Scott called an “awful place”.

Tickets: Just $60pp (includes 3-course wild-themed meal, 'fun'draising auction, raffles and Te Radar's show!). Tickets on-sale from 8am on 21 June. Bookings taken via email only.

Please email event organiser Kim Marcus on awahoufoa@gmail.com to secure your tickets and arrange payment on or after 21 June. Sold in tables of 8 (note not tables of 10 as in past years) or part thereof.

Cash bar this year: You'll need to bring cash for the bar and raffles (Eftpos will not be available this year due to issues we've had with the phone line connection out there). Auction prizes will be able to be paid for via invoice/online banking after the event.

R18 event: Please note this event is R18 (no-one under 18 is allowed on the premises that night as it is age-restricted). This is due to the terms of our on-site liquor licence not the content of Te Radar's show!!

Don't forget the Charity Auction for Awahou School: A much-loved feature of the Wild Food Feast night is the 'after-entertainment' charity auction (all funds raised go towards helping fund the extra teaching hours we need to maintain suitable teacher-to-student ratios at our school).

Stay up to date on the auction items donated by our wonderful rural community on our The Wild Food Feast Facebook page. Want to donate? PM our page with any ideas - we'd love to welcome you to the WFF Sponsors team.

For more information about the event call Awahou School on 329 4844 (during school hours) or check out the Wild Food Feast Facebook page.
