APO principal violist Robert Ashworth is joined by pianist Sherry Grant presenting the following programme in the first Auckland concert of the 6-concert series in memory of recently departed APO founding member John Ure as well as celebrating the birth of Sir Edmund Hillary 100 years ago with the world premiere of “Summit” by Ben Fernandez. World premiere of German composer Matthias Hutter’s 2019 “Nocturne oublié” will be performed in memory of the great American author (Nobel Prize on Literature/Pulitzer Prize Winner) Toni Morrison. This same programme is performed in Auckland at All Saints Church, Howick in Auckland on 6 Oct 2019.
