125 Years of Rugby in Waiuku

This year marks the anniversary of 125 years of rugby in Waiuku, and to celebrate this remarkable milestone, we are hosting a two-day event at the end of April. On the evening of Friday, 26th April, there will be a formal dinner, along with speeches and a guest speaker, which will be very entertaining.

On Saturday, the 27th, the day will kick off with a luncheon in a marquee on the sideline of our Number 1 field, so you can watch the rugby games on display while having something to eat and drink. We are looking at 4 games in the afternoon, with the Junior club playing their games in the morning, if you want to come and spend the whole day watching rugby!

In the evening on Saturday, we have a fabulous band performing from 7 pm, at no cost to you, and a free supper will also be provided.

As this is such a historic occasion, we have designed some merchandise with a 125 years logo, which is available to purchase. This includes polo shirts for men and ladies, and caps.

Waiuku rugby has produced some great players in the last 125 years, and as a rural club, we are focused on family and community. We are hoping to get as many past players and members there for the occasion, whether it be the Friday, Saturday, or both!
