We’re excited to be bringing you the 69th NZ Open Dance Championship, being held this Labour Weekend at Te Rauparaha Arena in Porirua. Bringing the event back to region where it all began!

Rich in history and with national titles up for grabs, this is the main event on the New Zealand dance-sport calendar.

All age groups will be competing over three dance styles - Ballroom, Latin American & New Vogue.
Juveniles (6 - 12yrs)
Juniors 13 - 15yrs)
Youth (16 - 20yrs)
Adult (16 - 34yrs)
Masters 1 (35 - 49yrs)
Masters 2 (aged 50+)

If you’re involved in dance or just love to watch it, you’ll want to join us for two days of spectacular dancing across all three styles of dance-sport: Ballroom, New Vogue and Latin American.

We are extremely excited to present an exciting dance showcase featuring three of Australasia’s leading professional couples:
- Steven Grinbergs and Rachelle Plaass (Standard – Australia)
- Stefano Olivieri and Jessica Prince (New Vogue – Australia)
- Sigurdur Thor Sigurdsson and Annalisa Zoanetti (Latin American – Iceland)

This is going to be an amazing showpiece.
In addition they will be running a workshop on Monday 28 October (Labour Day).

We are proud to run this event under the Freedom to Dance banner.
