A Thursday Noise Situation

Black/black/blue will bring a chill to a cold winters evening. Alternately shimmering, pulsing and throbbing synth drones and random transmissions from isolated locations. In varying sonic shades of black. And black. And blue.

Whispering City combines angular riffery with grey skies ambience... re-combining their curious talents NotV (j-mz robinson) and Crude (matthew middleton) have etched out electro-acoustic noise for a quater of a century... utilizing an arsenal of custom made odd-ball sound implements including a Spade with strings, a shawm, a jews harp, a therimin of sorts and a slew of samples, whispering city awkwardly straddles the genres of industrial, odd-ball lo-fi rock, kr*ut-rock, cinematic soundscaping, orientalist ambient and club bangers.

The Escalation is a guitar duo consisting of Peter Wright and Bruce Russell. Bruce can't play guitar properly and Peter doesn't try very hard. They have played with groups of other people, such as TMA-1 and the Dead C. Together they explore the outer reaches of audible space, boldly going where only even bolder tone-wranglers have gone before.
