Acrylic paint is a complete system: once you’ve chosen your colour, you can alter viscosity from thin to thick and short to long; you can alter surface sheen, drying times, and adhesion to a wide range of substrates.
This workshop will map an easy-to-negotiate route through the 50+ mediums and additives available to the acrylic painter, showing how each affects colour, and matches medium with technique, from pours to impasto.
Evan Woodruffe is well respected for his indepth technical knowledge, with over 25 years’ experience of professionally researching artists’ materials. Evan has a MFA (1st Class Honours) from Elam, University of Auckland, and an extensive exhibition and award history.
