The Craft of Acting – exploring and developing acting craft in scene and monologue study with Jennifer Ward-Lealand Te Atamira–one of New Zealand’s most accomplished actors, directors and teachers.

(Limited to 10 experienced actors, aged 18 years and over) or $20 (Limited to 10 non-participating observers).

Brief Outline of Course:
This course will be in the form of a master class where participants are directing in scenes or monologues. There will be a strong emphasis on developing acting craft: including objectives, timing, rhythms, pace, new ideas and use of the breath and how these techniques serve the greater goal – that of elevating the play.

Participants will receive detailed direction and be expected to have learnt the selected scene emailed to them prior to the workshop. They will also have the opportunity to observe other classmates and engage fully in the rehearsal process.

Observers: There is also the opportunity for 10 non-participating observers to watch this workshop.
