Active Citizens is a social leadership programme from the British Council internationally which promotes community-led social development and motivates aspiring leaders to take responsibility for their social needs, while giving them the knowledge, skills and experience to address them.

Key aspects of this social leadership course include self evaluation, intercultural dialogue and social responsibility as key leadership competencies in the 21st century.

The 3 day programme develops Active Citizens who are potential change agents in their community.

Splice Auckland is the key delivery partner for the programme in New Zealand.

We are looking for aspiring or experienced community leaders and social activators to join in this training, network, collaborate and share knowledge with other delegates.

A willingness to learn, self-evaluate and accelerate plans and projects is essential.

Active Citizens in currently run in 68 countries Worldwide, so access to an amazing international network and overseas opportunities for growth comes hand in hand with completing the course. The course is suitable for age groups from 16 upwards.

Tea and coffee morning and afternoon breaks, with fruit and snacks. All course materials.

Participants to bring:
Water bottle. Pens and paper for note-taking. Laptops not necessary.
Lunch to be brought or purchased during 1 hour lunch break each day.
