This workshop will be a further exploration into relief textured printing from the first workshop. Participants are asked to collect soft materials that can be used as a matrix/texture to print off and create layered compositions e.g. wallpaper/rubber matts/placemats, all around the A3 size to fit the press. (Must be soft material so it doesn’t damage the press.
We will also make 2 to 3 A4 silhouette woodblocks to combine with the found object layering. We will also explore embossing, hand burnishing, ghost printing and also touch a little on hand made marks. It will be an exciting workshop to those who are keen to advance more from the first introduction workshops. However if you’re a beginner, this would still be an ideal place to start your printmaking journey.
