Alex Gilbert: I'm Adopted

Russian-New Zealand adoptee, author and founder of ‘I’m Adopted’ Alex Gilbert was adopted when he was two years old from an orphanage in Arkhangelsk, Russia.

As part of Family History Month come and listen to Alex share his story about finding his birth parents using social media and traveling to Russia to meet them.

Alex will also talk about his project ‘I’m Adopted’, which supports hundreds of people throughout the world who are also adopted find their birth parents, share their stories and connect with other adoptees.

Alex will be speaking at Rotorua Library at 2pm on Saturday 10th August and everyone is welcome to attend. Koha (donation) appreciated.
