All This Crying Is Making Me Hungry is a comedy show about Ray Shipley and their girlfriend, and how much they love each other, and how difficult it is to maintain a healthy relationship when you both feel a lot of feelings with a lot of passion, and your jobs are weird, and your families are intense, and the ice-caps are melting. It’s a love story and a terrible tragedy. It’s a total panic and a bit of a breather.

Ray Shipley is a comedian, poet, and part-time librarian from Ōtautahi. Last year, Ray’s show He & She was nominated for Best Newcomer at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival, and they placed third at the National Poetry Slam.

This year, Ray is a Billy T Award nominee, has moved to Auckland, and is trying very hard to find the best dumplings within a 20 minute walk from their house.
