Toi MAHARA

A 2 hour workshop for students ages 10 to 18 years related to the exhibition of work by Frances Hodgkins. 10am to noon.

Much of Frances Hodgkins' work showed people from her everyday life. Family, neighbours and friends are drawn and painted in domestic or informal settings, often with a gentle affection.

This drawing class is focused on the figure or portrait with reference to Frances Hodgkins' style of work. Students can bring in photos of their own family or friends or people in their environment, and we will build a drawing based on these.

I have been teaching art to children age 7 to 18 privately for 8 years, and my own work as an artist has a focus on figure and portraiture - Harriet Bright, Artist.

Limited to 12 places & to be held at Mahara Gallery.
Bookings essential, contact - info@maharagallery.org.nz.
