Animal Antics - Story Telling - Pet Tales

Join Big Brothers Big Sisters at Wardini Books in Napier on 23 November at 12pm to share in a story telling session of poems and anecdotes from the children's picture book Pet Tales. Come dressed up as your favourite animal, spot prizes on the day!

Pet Tales is the brainchild of Steven James Bignall who has first-hand acquaintance of each pet in the book. Profits from the book go to Big Brother Big Sisters of Hawke’s Bay who offer community-based mentoring, partnering a young person with a role model to encourage children to reach their full potential. After school or on the weekend an adult volunteer (over 18) and a young person (aged between 6 and 12) spend one-to-one time together doing things they both enjoy – one or more hours a week. Most sessions take place in the community, at a library, a park, the beach or at other free facilities.

So bust out your piggy ears, cat whiskers and giraffe onesies (all are welcome) and join the team at Wardini Books, Saturday, 23rd November, 12pm to 1pm. Spot prizes for cute, lovely and stand out costumes. Copies of Pet Tales will be on sale with all profits going to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hawke’s Bay.
